day. One of the new staff members at the emergency department I sometimes work in is an ed specialist of about 15 years experience in one of your major trauma hospitals (forget which state). Anyway she was saying she gets sued at least 3 times a year and the last time she didnt even see the patient, she was just on the roster. Over here your unlucky if you get sued in 10 years, in fact Ive never even so much as had a single complaint. Unfortunately it looks like we are rapidly following the US example and insurance premiums are almost doubling every year. Public liabilty insurance for councils and public areas has gone so high that most places are being forced to shut down. Things like kids play grounds etc. This has been mostly pushed by lawyers. Shoot them all I think would make life much better.
